cinnamon bun porridge

Ingredients

  • 40g porridge oats
  • 150ml milk of choice
  • 15g raisins
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 20g blueberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 30g protein (optional)
  • Yoghurt/Skyr
  • Cinnamon

Method

  1. Add the oats, raisins, sprinkle of cinnamon, and milk to a frying pan with a small pinch of salt and gently warm through on low heat.
  2. Low and slow is the process here so that the oats cook and absorb all the liquid.
  3. If using, mix the protein powder with a tbsp of water to make a paste, then add to the pan.
  4. Mix the yoghurt with the maple syrup.
  5. When the porridge is ready, top with the yoghurt, blueberries, sliced banana, and another sprinkle of cinnamon.
  6. Add some seeds for a crunch.
